12. Chrome Extension Data Handling
SmartPromptIQ Browser Extension
The SmartPromptIQ extension only processes data when you explicitly run an action.
– What we access: when you click the extension and choose an action (e.g. Improve, Summarize),
we read the text you’ve selected — or, if nothing is selected, the visible content of the current tab — so the AI can
act on it.
– What we send: that content, the page URL,
and your action are sent over HTTPS to SmartPromptIQ’s API (smartpromptiq.com) to generate your result.
We do not run in the background or collect data from pages you
don’t act on.
– Authentication: your SmartPromptIQ sign-in token is stored locally in your browser to keep you signed in.
You can disconnect by signing out or removing the extension.
– What we don’t do: we do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising or creditworthiness, and we do not track your browsing.
– Retention: request content is used to generate your result and is not retained for unrelated purposes.
